A historic Tonopah icon with a storied past once home to eager bankers, miners, jewelers, barbers, and dreamers - The Belvada Hotel is the definition of modern luxury in a beautifully restored historic landmark.
A thoughtful renovation was completed in 2020 with authentic elements paired with classically inspired modern decor. The Belvada exudes all the charm and character of a boutique hotel in a historically vibrant community... |
In 2010, Fred & Nancy Cline, vitners from Sonoma, CA, were traveling through rural Nevada on a road trip researching family history. Nancy's great Uncle Harry Ramsey struck it rich in Goldfield during the silver boom in the early 1900's and also owned one of the first saloons in the area. Her Grandmother, Emma, was also the Postmistress in Goldfield.
Knowing the family history, a realtor reached out to the Cline's when the Mizpah Hotel came for sale after being shuttered for 12 years. The Cline's purchased the hotel and called their seven kids back in California and shared the news. The kids, spread over ten years, all agreed their parents had finally lost it! |
The family tie was what initially drew the Cline's to the area - but the charm, vibrant history, local community, and potential is what has inspired them to continue to do business in Tonopah. Since the renovation and opening of the Mizpah Hotel in 2011, the Cline's have also renovated many historic houses in the town, opened Tonopah Brewing Company - a beer and barbecue joint, and have recently completed the Belvada Hotel project.
Their hope is that by preserving this important Nevada history, we can all appreciate the perseverance and tenacity of our ancestors before us and the great lengths they went to live.
